Custard

Custard is a DJ and producer, one third of Nexus 3 and one half of The Payoff Brothers. Behind the decks, his sound spans the full arc from deep and progressive through to euphoric and bouncy, with the occasional splash of acid thrown in for good measure. Past residencies include Planet Angel, Boundless and Chilled in a Field Festival, with appearances for Trance Sanctuary and Peach Goes Hard, two trips to Malta for the Euphoria Weekender, and most recently Timescape Festival 2026 on its multi-genre stage. In 2025, his mix was selected by John 00 Fleming from listener submissions for the guest slot on JOOF Radio 063. As one third of Nexus 3, he released the uplifting, big-room trance tracks State of Wonder and Last Flight on Discover Records, alongside remix duties on Activa's Temper for the To the Point Remixed album. He's also one half of The Payoff Brothers, a collaboration with a much simpler rule: make whatever bootlegs they fancy. That might mean fixing a remix that never quite worked, rebuilding an old favourite with modern production so it can hold its own alongside today's records, or making the bootleg remix that really ought to exist in the first place. Genre is largely irrelevant. If it needs making, they'll make it.
